Cunard White Star R.M.S. Queen Mary 1950 Dinner Menu

Purchase this menuThe cover is by Stanley Jezzard and features an English waterfront scene. The menu is for Dinner on the R.M.S. Queen Mary, Monday, January 23, 1950, in Cabin Class. There are some items on the menu that you just don't see on a menu these days: Creme St. Louis, Jugged hare a l'Anglaise (sounds awful), and Congress Pudding for dessert.

Olympic Dining Room - Celebrity Millennium

This is a "hand-out" menu from the "Millie," Celebrity Cruise Lines Millennium. The Olympic Dining Room is a specialty restaurant, where there is a $35 service fee. The walls of the dining room are lined with original panels from White Star's Olympic, a sister ship to the Titanic.

The story goes that when the Olympic was scrapped, the panels were purchased and installed in a country estate in England. Celebrity Cruise Line bought the estate when it came up for sale, took out these panels, and then resold the estate. The panels were installed in this dining room. Well worth it.

The Warm Goat Cheese Souffle is worth a visit alone....
